Today I met my biggest challenge as a newborn photographer – literally! This adorable boy was almost 6 weeks old by the time his mama could bring him to my studio. Sleeping was definitely not on his agenda and neither was staying still! I used this newborn session as a chance to hone my baby-whispering skills and make the most of my furs and wraps 🙂

One of the reasons this poor guy couldn’t make it to a newborn session during the recommended time frame, the first 14 days, was because he spent the first couple weeks of his life in an incubator 🙁 Now that resilient Aidan has kicked his severe jaundice, his mama brought him in for some photos! His abundance of dark hair and open-mouth sleeping habits remind me of my Lydia 🙂
